Merry Winter Veil!
December 24th - 12:59 - by L00t

We here at Questkeep wish you all a merry christmas.

The holidays are best spent in family's embrace, so we will not be playing nor answering email the next couple of days as a direct consequence.

Have a lovely feast *<I;-)
We dont have the questguide? Try the forums
August 16th - 11:23 - by L00t

We know that we dont cover more than a third of all the quests in WoW, so you are bound to search for a quest that we do not have a guide for.

When that is the case, be aware of our forums, where you can always ask for help for specific quests. You can browse the forums as a guest, but you'll need to register to post, though.

Happy WoW'ing.
Official word from Thundgot
June 30th - 10:01 - by Jidan

And we quote:

Hi everyone,

As our game login, forums and web site are all currently (9:45 in the morning CEST, June 30th) down in Europe, and have been down for some time, I wanted to send you this message to let you know that we?re working on these issues and hope to have it all up very shortly. The main priority is of course the game login, with everything else following soon thereafter.

If you have any chance of informing your visitors about this on your site or forums that would be much appreciated. As soon as the forums and web site are up I?ll try to have an explanation posted there.

Sincerely thank you,

Thundgot

Many New Quests
March 21st - 19:04 - by Aegir

Recently we have received many new submitted quests - and of high quality as well. Good work, guys! Most of the new quests have full npc speech, detailed descriptions and rewards, which makes us very happy here at QuestKeep. It's good to see so many of you submitting quests and with your help our lists will keep growing. I'd also like to bring a warm welcome to Cueamyen, who have recently joined our staff. You've already posted some very nice quests, and we all look forward to working with you in the future.
Wanted : experienced UI programmer
March 11th - 23:23 - by L00t

Questkeep.com is looking for a programmer with experience in WoW UI scripting to help develop a UI mod for making quest guide submitting as easy as possible. We have a lot of ideas, but no staff members that have the knowledge to make them work.

The site is run on hobby basis, so we can't pay you. You will be able to use any work done for future references and you will be accredited for your efforts, as well as you will become a full member of the QK team with influence on the future of the site. You need to be a teamplayer with good social skills, as we are not just seeking a worker peon - we are seeking a new member for the team.

If the thought of being a part of Questkeep.com appeals to you, please contact L00t by mail or instant messenger (see the team site) and tell a bit about yourself, so we can have a chat. Aged 20+ and with work on earlier UI mods to show is preferred greatly.

Why so "few" guides online?
February 28th - 14:38 - by L00t

We do not automate. Simple as that.

Every guide is handwritten, and that takes time. If you would like to see even more guides online, please write us a few and submit them by mail, through the forums or via the quest submitter.

We have been playing a lot, so expect to see more guides from us very soon, however, we can only cover this many guides. If you can spare the time and effort, write a guide or two for the quests that you found difficult.

Thank you.

Skill- and profession specific search modifiers
February 22nd - 20:37 - by L00t

We have recieved quite a few requests about skill- and profession specific quest search modifiers from visitors not stating an emailaddress, that can't contact directly with an answer - so we'll reply here :)

Search modifiers for skill and profession won't be implemented in the near future, since it is only a very few quests that are dependant of either one. At the moment we aim for more general search modifiers that covers the majority of quests, but ofcourse it may be added later.

Right now we are - depending on Blizzards accept - planning the development of a program that can ease the contribution of quest guides from users, and this is where our main focus is at the moment. The goal with this is to make it extremely easy to write your own quest guide, and to submit it with a minimum of trouble.

Ahhh, what a joy
February 14th - 20:26 - by Jidan

At last playing the game - and knowing there wont be a wipe, or anything. While the staff grinds their way through many levels, and visit all of the World of Warcraft wonders, you can browse well over 700 quests. All handwrittin by our very own Aegir. Also you should visit our forums and meet the makers of QuestKeep.com - we wont bite. Promise. :)
Blizzard updates the official FAQ
February 10th - 01:25 - by L00t

We just recieved word from Blizzard, that they are going to update theofficial WoW FAQ on the European WoW site tomorrow. Thundgot points out a few of the added questions, regarding accounts and payment option:

Do I need to enter credit card information to register an account?

When registering an account to play the game you will have to choose one of the available payment methods. If none of the alternative payment methods apply, you would be required to use the credit card option. (Please note that a credit card will also be required for those players who plan to use pre-paid game cards but wish to start playing before they become available on the 4th of March.)

Can I change my preferred payment method after creating an account?

Yes. You will be able to edit your account and your preferred method of payment. If, for example you wish to switch from credit card to the pre-paid solution, you will be able to do this as soon as you have your pre-paid game card number.

What payment methods are currently supported?

Payment is accepted in Euros and English pounds and includes the following methods:

  • Major credit cards: Visa (including Electron), MasterCard, American Express.
  • Local cards: Carte Bleue (France), Switch, Solo, Delta (United Kingdom).
  • Electronic Direct Debit: including country specific such as ELV (Germany).

When will pre-paid cards be available in Europe, and how much will they cost?

Pre-paid game cards will be available on 4th of March, prior to the end of the included one-month subscription. Costing 26.99?/?18.49, each card will give a 60-day subscription to the game, accessible via this website using the scratch-off code on the reverse of the card.

The cards will be sold in DVD sized boxes, localized into English, German, French, Italian and Spanish, and will be available through retail outlets where the game is sold.

If I pay by pre-paid card, will I still need to have another payment method stated on my account?

No. When the pre-paid cards are available, this number will be the only one required.

Can I use US pre-paid cards for a European account?

No. You will need to use a European pre-paid card for a European account.

This is not released yet on the Europe WoW site, but you'll find it online from tomorrow morning.
